Duties and responsibilities

·Help improve our code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.

·Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of Back-End Software Engineers, Front-End Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Product Managers.

·Build robust and scalable software.

·Design and create services and system architecture for your projects, and contribute and provide feedback to other team members.

·Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products.

·Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution.

·Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule.

Qualifications

·2-7 years of recent hands-on coding and software design.

·Experience working with common data structures and algorithms.

·Solid OOP and software design knowledge – you should know how to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives.

·Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices and Agile Software Development.

·Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language like Go or C++.

·Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages like Python, shell scripting, etc.

·Experience building REST APIs. Experience with Event-driven communication between components using streaming and message queues is a plus.

·Experience with NoSQL, SQL, and graph databases like MongoDB, Postgres, and Neo4j is a plus.

·Willingness to learn and use new technologies.

·Ability to debug complex systems.

·Bachelor degree or more in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

Location

· Based in Madrid, Spain

· Occasional travel to San Francisco, USA
